HHS was thrilled to receive funding for a subscription to Atomic Learning from the HPTA this Fall. We are in the process of setting up our account to enable all staff, students, and HHS families to access this great web-based learning tool. Atomic Learning hosts thousands of video tutorials on all sorts of technology tools and applications, from Microsoft Word to Google Apps, Voicethread, and more. In fact the Counseling Department was thrilled to learn that Atomic Learning even has tutorials on completing the FAFSA for college financial aid. Parents of Juniors and Seniors will love this!
Once the accounts are set up, anyone from the HHS community will be able to access the wealth of resources available on the site using their existing network login credentials. Kirsten Fournier, our new HHS Librarian, and Colleen Worrell, the HS Technology Integration Coordinator, will work to get the word out to faculty, students, and parents. The site tracks usage so we will able to get a clear reporting on the number of users and where they go on the site — providing a great way for us to assess the value of this tool going forward.
