The January Hopkinton High School Student of the Month winner is Corrine Daley (senior). Here is what the teachers had to say about her…

Corinne Daley (senior): Corinne is a student who always has a smile on her face, is a leader in the classroom & in sports, is always looking for the best in others, and is willing to persevere when the going gets tough. She helps others in class when asked, and works well in cooperative situations. I could write more, but those who know her can add to what I have written.

Corinne is one of the hardest workers and one of the kindest students I have worked with. I know that she is challenged by my class but her work ethic is so INTENSE and her attitude is so POSITIVE that she works it out.

The Student of the Month award is an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the accomplishments of our students. The criteria for this nomination/recognition is simple and left to the staff’s discretion. They could nominate a student who has shown improvement academically, behaviorally, emotionally etc. or a student who is consistently kind to others. They could also nominate a student who did a really nice thing for someone else selflessly or someone who has shown a new side of themselves the definition is open to your interpretation. Once students are nominated by particular teachers, a ballot is composed and sent out to all of the teachers. Then the voting begins. After a student is selected, they will receive a $50 gift certificate from the ReMax McBride Team and then a $50 Barnes and Noble gift card provided by the HPTA.
